Mark C. Scalzo is Executive Vice President, Director of Research and Co-Portfolio Manager. Mr. Scalzo joined Aletheia in 2008 after working for Ken Fisher at Fisher Investments as a Group Vice President and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions. Prior to December 2006, Mr. Scalzo was a Regional Manager / Managing Director with Putnam Lovell NBF Securities where he spent over 15 years advising public and private companies on mergers & acquisitions in the financial services and real estate industries. During that time, Mr. Scalzo advised on over 40 successful transactions, including Nuveen's transformational purchase of NWQ Investment Management Company, which quickly became Nuveen's growth engine reaching over $60 billion in AUM at its peak. Mr. Scalzo began his career as a generalist in the mergers and acquisitions department of Salomon Brothers in New York in 1989 after graduating cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics.
